Author's Notes for Wishes Don't Come True
Author's Notes for WISHES DON'T COME TRUE
Alright, this is the thing. I have started writing more and more oneshots [particularly for anime & manga], so I’ve sort of lost interest in my chapters fics. Now exclaim as angrily as you like, it my long semi-hiatus from fanfiction has taught me anything it has been this: this is a hobby. I’m writing this for fun. More importantly, I’m writing it because I find it interesting and something I would like to write. I post it here because I think others might enjoy this, too. In fact, the only reason I’m continuing this is because I feel bad that I’ve left people that like this story without any sort of continuance. And so it goes on. But in the end, I don’t care if you think I’m ruining Calvin and Hobbes. And yes, I haven't updated since May. STFU.
Now, most of my reviewers don’t review UPDATE [because God knows demanding just make me want to rush and finish things] so I thank you for being extremely patient and reviewing nicely.
Now a message about the actual story: I will probably begin rewriting this story. Not the overall plot, but the writing style. This style has probably changed since I first started writing this story and...author...must...change!!!
Now, I’m thinking of a Susie/Calvin/Aria thing, but I’m not sure. In a threesome way, not love triangle way. I’m expecting a huge NO for an answer. In fact, I'm kind of against it myself, since I've set up Susie as hetro and Aria as lesbian, already. Well, they could be bi, but it would seem too much like twisting their already warped characters for my own malicious whims. xP
REFERENCES IN CHAPTER TEN: Now, about the whole old man in the bookshop, here it is: In the book 1984, Winston lives in a future where everything's controlled by the gov't, even history and pretty much people's memories. So, there's this junkshop where he goes with this woman he tries to rebel with. They rent a room in the junkshop and have sex there, which is an act of rebellion in itself. In the end, though, they're sold out by this old man.
This man's greeting when Winston enters shop: "Is there anything special I can do for you? Or did you just want to look around?" See the similarities? Good.
About So it goes: In Slaughterhouse Five, Billy Pilgrim claims to have been abducted by aliens that don't feel time like we do. They can jump from one moment on their timeline to another, and hence death doesn't have the same effect on them as it does to us. So whenever someone dies, they say So it goes.
Okay, I'm done, but if there are any comments or questions you'd like to leave about this rant author's note, please leave 'em here. I won't care if you're anon, especially if you don't have an account. And if you're gonna spout anger at me, please do so. Give me something to laugh about.
